Teaching Experience

Teaching is one of my great loves. I jumped on opportunities at MIT to teach in a variety of hands-on subjects. Post MIT, I've had many teaching roles managing interns at NASA and GreenVolts as well as some experience with teaching on television. I believe it's my duty as an engineer to help others understand engineering and science; this is the way engineering keeps getting better.

MIT Edgerton Center: Strobe Project Laboratory
Strobe Project Laboratory is one of the most popular of the EECS Labs at MIT. It covers or the application of electronic flash sources to measurement and photography, as well as high-speed imaging, optical and acoustic sensors, and darkroom techniques.

Introduction to Digital Electronics
I assisted in teaching this after my first year at MIT. It was fun to
interact with freshmen and teach them how to properly solder. I was dissappointed, however, that I was never able to convince the students to pronounce LED's as "ell ee dees" instead of "leds". Just goes to show how MIT kids are always pushing the envelope.

MIT Media Lab: How to Make Almost Anything
This is a very exciting class at the MIT Media Lab; a diverse curriculum of nearly every fabrication technique imaginable is provided for, including machining, electronics, 3-D printing, lasercutting, and water-jet cutting.

I taught the hands-on CNC machining section, as well as giving a lecture on manufacturing techniques such as injection molding.
